Luciana Lemos is a Brazilian PhD candidate in the Department of Community and Regional Planning at the University of Texas at Austin and a Research Associate at the Extreme Weather Adaptation Lab. She holds a Master of Public Administration with a major in Urban Affairs and Planning from the University of Pittsburgh and a law degree from Universidade Salvador (UNIFACS).
Before turning to law, she studied literature at the University of São Paulo (USP) and cinema at the Academia Internacional de Cinema in São Paulo (AIC), and went on to direct several social and political documentaries that were screened at film festivals worldwide.
Her trajectory bridges planning, law, and visual storytelling, connecting research with public and community-engaged practice.
